The Boston Cyclists Union held a rally in Copley Square to highlight safety hazards on Boston roads.
Cyclists rode around the Public Garden several times.
More than 100 local cyclists came out to the demonstration to spread awareness about an issue they feel is extremely important.
The event started with a brief address by the Boston Cyclists Union executive board and ended with riders exiting Copley Square and hitting the road.
Participants hope the event will catch the eyes of legislators, who they hope will make the changes desperately needed by the cyclist community.
